The Research Training Group 1343 Topology of Technology is financed by the German Research Council (DFG). The main focus of the group is the tension between technology and space. The research programme focuses – beyond direct technological impacts – on the situatedness of technologies, on their social potential to transform and create space.

Doctoral Fellowships are awarded!

The interdisciplinary graduate program "Topology of Technology" announces  5 doctoral fellowships, starting September 1, 2013.

Deadline for Application: May 31, 2013

Doctoral fellowships (running for a max. of 3 years) are primarily allocated for following subjects: history, sociology, philosophy, mechanical engineering, computer science, sports science, and the planning science.

Oberseminar of the Research Training Group 'Topology of Technology'

Summer term, fridays 9:00 - 11:30 am, S 3/13/334
Starts on April 26, 2013 ( Oberseminar will be dropped on long weekends)

The seminar is divided into three sessions:

1. Preparing the excursion to LA               
2. Presentation and discussion of the scholars research projects
3. Theory and empiricism of cognitive spatial experience in virtual environments
