Helen Watkins is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Geography at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. After completing an MA in the Cultural Geography programme at Royal Holloway, University of London, she somehow found herself doing her PhD on the domestic refrigerator. She is not entirely sure how this happened, but has very much enjoyed following the journeys of the refrigerator and hearing people's fridge stories.
