Mikael Hård is Professor of History of Technology at the History Department, University of Technology Darmstadt, Germany. He holds a Ph.D. from Gothenburg University, Sweden, and an M.A. from Princeton University, U.S.A. Before taking on the professorship in Darmstadt he was in the period 1994-1998 Professor of History of Technology at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim.
