Gernot Böhme, Professor emeritus; Professor for Philosophy at the Department of Philosophy, University of Technology Darmstadt, Germany (1997-2002); postdoctorate (Habilitation) in philosophy in Munich (1972); doctorate in Hamburg (1965); study of mathematics, physics, and philosophy in Göttingen and Hamburg; work on the theory of time, classical philosophy (especially Plato and Kant), philosophical anthropology, research on science (finalization theory), and research on Goethe. Focus of Work: Aesthetics (especially the aesthetics of nature), philosophy of nature, ethics, and theory of technological civilization).
